Check out the picture above, it is a picture of a pair of lungs. The real question here is, "Is there something weird about this picture?" Take a few minuets to really look at it.
Did you notice the Gorilla in the Lungs? He is in the upright corner in the picture. Many nurses cannot point out the gorilla either. This is due to something called "Selective Attention." This is where the brain only points out what it can see, and doesn't really notice other things in its surrounding. Christopher Chabris and Daniel Simons came up with the Invisible Gorilla Theory. It is a pretty interesting theory to watch and to test for yourself!
Next time your out and about, make sure to look for the little things so you don't miss the Gorilla.
