Home » General NewsHurricane SandyNovember 14, 2012 Paintsville Jr Sr High SchoolHurricane Sandy, also known as “Frankenstorm”, has finished its destruction on the east coast of the United States. This storm has destroyed homes, businesses, schools, and many other things. Reporters say that this storm is the worst to ever hit the east coast and has caused over thirty billion dollars in damage. Millions were evacuated from their homes and moved to a local evacuation center in their area. This massive storm killed a total of 106 people within the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New York, and many other north eastern states. Hurricane Sandy caused major flooding and many power outages. Millions lost their home due to water damage or wind damage and others just went without power for weeks. As of right now some are still without power due to water, wind, and fallen trees. With all of the fallen trees and flooding, many searches have been made to find missing people. Millions of people who were affected by the storm are still building back and recovering from the damage. Dylan & Chelsea
