Fall is moving in, and the middle school state football tournament is too. The undefeated PJHS football team takes on the Somerset, for the second round. The middle school team has had no competition so far this season, as they have won by at least 25 points in every regular season game this year and every district game.
The away game, Saturday @2, will be the first chance the team will have at a closer game. Kent Phelps the running back for PJHS football team said “ We have come along way this season. As long as we work together as a Team it should be just a regular game for us.”
If the middle school wins Saturday they will advance to the 3rd round state playoffs and then to the championship. Saturdays game will be vital to the success of the young team. This is a repeat state appearance and will hopefully lead to a repeat state championship appearance. Somerset last year defeated the Middle School in the state championship game.
