Fall Festivities 2012
October 15, 2012Paintsville Jr Sr High School
In the months of September and October there are many things that you and your family can do! Haunted houses, festivals, and fall activities such as carving pumpkins, making a scarecrow, or playing in leaves.
Two festivals take place during these two months here in eastern kentucky. The September Fest in Lawrence County, Apple Days Festival in Johnson County, and Jenny Wiley Days in Floyd County. Lots of food, games, rides, and shops to choose from! These shops vary from selling clothes, accessories, guns, crafts, and many more things.
Halloween is a great holiday for spending time with friends and family from going to haunted houses and mazes to giving out candy for the young kids trick or treating. Dressing up for halloween always makes it more fun for you and the kids! Many local places have haunted houses, corn mazes, walking trails, and hayrides for all ages!
The fall season brings many ideas for having fun! Carving pumpkins, making a scarecrow to put in the yard, or rake leaves to play in them. Everyone loves doing these things in the beautiful weather during the months of fall!
