They hope to continue this streak at their next game. On Tuesday, August 28th, the Tigers shut-out the Prestonsburg Blackcats 5-0. The Tigers had their first goal by Jonathan de Guzman within the first minute to put them up to an early 1-0 lead. The Tigers didn't let up throughout the entire game and received their first shut-out in the season. Jonathan de Guzman had 2 goals and Zach Baldwin had 3. David Smith had 2 assists and Jonathan de Guzman, Harrison Dye, and Jon Johnson all had 1 assist. On Thursday, August 30th, the Tigers had a tough game against Letcher County Central. The final score was 2-0 as the Tigers got their second straight shut-out. Zach Baldwin had 2 goals while Matt Barber had the only assist of the game. The Tigers have scored a total of 18 goals this season and have only given up 6. The Tigers defense had been playing exceptionally well so far this season and is hoping to get more shutouts in the future. David Smith, the Senior leader of the Tigers' defense, expects the defense to play well throughout the season and is in high hopes of winning the regional championship for his last season with the Tigers.
