Thespian Conference

The annual Thespian Conference took place at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in St. Louis January 10-12. Over 1,800 theatre students from all over the state attended, and many of the students from OHS made an impression:

Dalton Hempelmann was picked out of 160 students from all across the state to perform an original play written by another high school student.

Colton Graham was chosen as part of the Tech Crew for the All State Show next year.

Trevor Nicks served on the State Board this past year and was one of the officers running the conference.

The IMPROV OLYMPIX team—Trevor Nicks, Adriana Luffman, Johannah Thomas, Ashlyn Steinhardt, and Alynn Chaney—were the last team to make it to the end of the Head-to-Head competition.

Finally, Mrs. Miller was nominated by her theatre students and chosen by her peers to receive the MO State Theatre Teacher of the Year award.

Congratulations to Mrs. Miller and her awesome group of thespians! OHS looks forward to the production of Beauty & the Beast this spring.
