Day 1: Overland ladies track and field did an amazing job this week in State. To start the meet off the ladies sprint medley which is made up of, Shakira, Lamija, Tyler Allen, and Brianna Pardner, ran their hearts out to make it to finals with a time of 1:48.95. Next up with little rest inbetween Brianna Pardner went over and ran the 100m dash and ran an outstanding 12.62 missing finals by .14 seconds. Next event for Brianna was the long jump, Brianna scratched her first 2 jumps and jumped a 14"10 3/4 on her 3rd jump. Brianna's last prelim for the day is the 400m dash. Brianna shot out of the blocks and tore up the track running a 57.61 placing her in finals!

Day 2: The sprint medley ladies laced up their shoes and went into beast mode for finals. Shakira got a great start out of the blocks, ran 100m, passed it off to teammate Lamija who focused forward and gained ground on the field for 100m, passed it off to Tyler who had the most determined look on her face and chased everyone down for 200m, giving the baton to Brianna who immediately went into WIN mode, and got out after the 400m and brought their team to a 5th place finish with a time of 1:48.95! Way to go Ladies!!

Day 3: With the rain coming down and chill in the air we asked Brianna how do you feel about this weather, she simply replied "It's just a little rain" with a smile on her face you could tell she was ready to give it all she has left out on that field in the 400m finals. Brianna ran an great race that kept everyone on their toes, she started off strong and finished strong with a 59.59 with a 9th place finish in state! We are very proud of Brianna and all she has accomplished this year, going to state in 4 events is a huge accomplishment and she competed above and beyond the coaches standards.

Coaches note: Amazing job ladies, we are very proud of you and we cannot wait to have all of you return next year. We are lucky to have such strong leaders on this team and we love how hard you work each and every day. Continue to always go after your dreasm!
