Varsity Baseball Update

Owen Valley High SchoolThe Patriot's ended the regular season this past weekend with an away game at Cloverdale and a tournament at Washington. OV produced runs vs Cloverdale but came up short. The Patriot's entered into the Washington tounament needing a win, and looked to Senior Ben A. Allen started on the mound and pitched a complete game (9 innings). Wes A. helped the cause with a home run, while the Patriot's were able to win 4-3. The Patriot's faced Shakamak in the championship game. Shakamak came into the game much more rested as they handed Austin a 13-3 loss in 5 innings. The Patriot's hung tough, but fell short in the end. OV will play host Greencastle on Wed. May 23rd in sectional play approx. 7pm.
