Home » Basketball NewsHouston Big-Man Senior Play Makes Him Great FindFebruary 22, 2012 By Matt Malatesta of VYPE MAGAZINE - HoustonScouts, fans and coaches have been waiting for The Woodlands big-man Joey Trinkle to come out of his shell the past few seasons.
Well welcome to the party J-Trink. Trinkle played big all season, completely dominating at times in the low post. He was tremendously physical this season and is light on his feet for his size, and should be the his district's MVP. He took his game to another level and finally the college scouts are noticiing.
While it's late in the process, Trinkle is under-recruited but will be a great find for some lucky program.
"I'm still trying to figure out what I want for next year," he said. "As far as schools go, Colorado Christian flew down to watch me play against Dekaney, and I'm hearing from them constantly along with Central Missouri. They are both Division II. Mary Hardin Baylor and Trinity are both DIII schools and they are good options as well. Trinity is great academically. Then there are a few NAIAs like John Brown and St. Thomas."
After schools get his tape for the past few months, his stock could rise, pushing him into a low Division I program.
