Community Gathering to honor Coach Perry: The Orono Schools community will gather at 3 pm on Saturday, May 18th at 3 pm to honor Coach Perry. The celebration of his life and contributions will be held at one of his favorite places, Pesonen Stadium at the Orono High School.

Sad News for the Orono Community - Bob Perry

The Orono football  community suffered a large loss on April 25th when Bob Perry unexpectedly passed away. Bob was an enthusiastic supporter of Orono athletics, particularly football, where he served as an assistant varsity coach. He also served as an assistant track coach for many years. 

Bob was a good mentor to our boys, always very positive, never too serious, and always willing to help (see below Bob in the dunk tank at the Corn Days end of the summer celebration).  His contributions to our community were significant. We are thankful for his time and efforts and he will be forever remembered in our hearts, especially those  cool autumn nights when he won't be with us on the field, as he so loved.  

In memory of Bob, the family has set up the The Orono Football Boosters Bob Perry Memorial Fund.   All proceeds will support any and all football team needs.  Should you wish to contribute on-line, please go to the tab on the left hand menu and scroll down to BOB PERRY FUND.
