Orono Wrestling - Weekly Update 12-16-12

12/15/12 East Ridge Invitational:

Even though we had a long day there was some great moments – Congrats to Bobby Striggow for getting 3^rd Place as a 7^th grader that is a HUGE accomplishment (came from behind to pin his opponent to get 3^rd place).  Charlie Schmid stayed undefeated and won his 2^nd straight tournament – Charlie is really wrestling well right now and a great leader for the team.  Zach Mahan lost a close tough match in the finals to the number 4 ranked kid in the state.  Jacob Williams fought back to get 5^th place in a tough bracket.  Parker Lyons & Cameron Paul finished off the day in 4^th Place and Jim Williams rec’d 5th.  The whole team wrestled well and coming into Christmas break we are right where I think we should be.
