OMHS Cross Country Results for 2012 Shelby County Championships

The OMHS Cross Country boys team won the Shelby County Championship by a landslide on Tuesday, October 9^th. Finishing behind the boys team were Pelham, Thompson, Briarwood, Chelsea, Indian Springs, Westminster, and Calera.  The boys placed 8 runners in the overall top 15 finishers in a race that had 154 total runners.  The boys in the top 15 were Jake Van Geffen (3^rd), Matt Pouncey (4^th), Darius Robinson (6^th), Randy Reeder (7^th), Caleb Mintz (8^th), Hunter Holstad (11^th), Caleb Wilson (12^th), and Daniel Bucher (13^th).

After a strong showing at the Jesse Owens Classic the previous Saturday, the girls team was not able to defend its hold on the Shelby County Championship from previous years.  The girls team came in fourth overall and had two girls place in the top 15 overall: Emily Stevens who placed 2^nd and Amanda Howard who placed 13^th.
