Fall Sports Update from Jan Wilking

Congratulations to senior golfer MacKenzie Laumann who qualified for the state finals starting this Thursday at the Ohio State University. MacKenzie finished 3rd at Weatherwax Golf Course in Middletown at the District tournament this past week. Oak Hills was well represented at the District Tournament as we were one of 9 Division I co-ed schools statewide to have both our boys and girls team qualify to the District finals level in golf.
Congratulations to the girls and boys cross country teams who this weekend competed in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC) finals at Sycamore High School. The boys' team finished 2nd lead by school record holder senior Blake Meyer and senior Ross Frondorf. Head Coach Joe Zeinner was named "GMC Coach of the Year". The girls' finished 3rd behind a strong team effort lead by sophomore B's Frondorf and freshman Sydney Kilgore. Coach Shelly Hageman's team looks forward to this week's District Final race. Both the programs compete on Saturday at Mason in the District Finals. Race times will be posted on www.oakhillssports.com by Wednesday.
Congratulations to the girls' soccer team who completed the regular season undefeated with a record of 11-0-5 and finished GMC runner-up for second time in the last 5 years.
The boys' soccer team open state tournament action at 7pm at Rapid Run Stadium vs. Glen Este.
The girls' volleyball team travels to Withrow to take on Turpin at 7:30pm.
Oak Hills host Sycamore in our final home game of the season. It is senior night for our football players, cheerleaders, Band, Majorettes and Oakettes. Game time is 7:30pm. The football team defeated Hamilton on Friday night, 17-0, bringing our record to 5-3.
the girls soccer team will host Lakota East/Winton Woods winner at 7pm at Rapid Run Stadium in the opening round of the state tournament.
