Home » Wrestling NewsTop New York City High School Wrestlers to Compete In NYC Mayor's Cup Wrestling ChampionshipsJanuary 26, 2012 NYC Mayors CupMore than 500 of the City’s best young male and female wrestlers will compete in the ninth annual NYC Mayor’s Cup High School Wrestling Championships. The tournament is one of the largest of its kind and is the only event to include competitors from all of the public, independent and Catholic schools in New York City. The girls and boys finals will take place on Sunday, January 29, at the 369th Harlem Armory at 40 W. 143rd Street in Manhattan. The girls championship matches start at 1pm and the boys championship matches begin at 3pm.
Produced by NYC & Company, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Wrestling Association and Beat the Streets Wrestling, Inc., the tournament is Saturday, January 28, and Sunday, January 29.
The NYC Mayor’s Cup series, which encompasses a variety of sports events throughout the year, is organized by NYC & Company, the City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization.
