HAMILTON – Austin Ray drove in a pair of runs to lead the Bitterroot Red Sox to a 6-5 win over the Bitterroot Bucs in a Class A American Legion baseball game Thursday evening.
Chase Connor worked the first 5 1/3 innings to get the win. He allowed 10 hits and all five runs. Tyler Nixon got the final five outs – four on strikeouts – to get the save.
Brad Schaff homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Bucs. He also tossed the complete game, allowing just three hits in the tough-luck loss.
