Jill Barta of the four-time undefeated champion Fairfield girls team will headline the Montana squad for the 39th annual Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball Series in June.
The Montana rosters were announced at Thursday’s monthly meeting of the Midland Roundtable.
This year’s games will be played June 13 in Sheridan, Wyo., and June 14 at Rocky Mountain College. Game times both nights are 6 p.m. for the girls and 8 p.m. for the boys.
The 6-foot-3 Barta, who led Fairfield to a state-record 104 consecutive wins and is headed to Gonzaga to play basketball in the fall, will lead a Montana girls squad that also features three Billings players.
Mika Robinson of Billings West, Jace Henderson of Billings Senior and Justyn Juhl of Billings Central will be joined on the girls roster by Olivia Roberts and Maddie Keast of Missoula Sentinel, Michaela Dowdy of Helena Capital, Cassidy Hashley of Kalispell Glacier, Vanessa Stavish of Frenchtown and Katie Fertterer of Belt.
Kooper Kidgell of Senior is the lone Billings player on the boys roster. He’s joined by Carson Dummer and Kyle Harrington of Helena Capital, Oliver Carr of Bozeman, Jayse McLean of Great Falls CMR, Evan Epperly of Kalispell Glacier, Bryden Boehning of Glendive, Troy Scott of Dillon, Jared Schultz of Stevensville and Christian Evans of Bigfork.
UM Western men’s coach Steve Keller will coach the boys team and former Rocky Mountain College women’s coach Brian Henderson will coach the girls team.
