Josie Anderson batted 4 for 4 for Frenchtown (1-0) and Brooke Yarnall was 3 for 4 with two doubles.
Corvallis(0-1) drew two walks off the opposing pitcher – one each from Taia Tully and Sabrina Friday – but Yarnall threw out Tully from her catcher position trying to steal second to erase a base runner.

Morgan Ray was untouchable on Thursday, throwing a no-hitter in Broncs' 18-0 victory over Corvallis.
No Corvallis batter was able to locate Morgan's pitches during the game. Morgan threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters and walking two while recording her momentous feat. She got Kabrey Powell to strike out for the final out of the game.
Eighteen runs in the opening three innings allowed Broncs to easily put away Corvallis. An RBI double by Josie Anderson, an RBI double by Morgan, an RBI double by Keegan Wickman, an RBI single by Brooke Yarnall, and a steal of home by Brooke in the first inning and a two-run home run by Morgan, an RBI double by Keegan, an RBI double by Brooke, a two-run double by Gabby Martello, and an RBI single by Kayla Blood during the second inning supplied the early offense for Broncs.
Brooke racked up four RBIs on four hits for Broncs.
Taylor Gagnon was the game's losing pitcher. She allowed 18 runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.

DILLON — The Copperheads bats came alive in a big way, pounding out 21 hits including 10 for extra bases in Thursday’s 16-2 Southwestern A Conference win over the Beavers.
Senior third baseman Sarah Schaefer went 4-for-5 and was a home run short of the cycle with a triple and two doubles and the 1-2-3 hitters in Courtney Moodry, Lacee Moodry and Delanie Chapman each went 3-for-4 to spoil the first ever official Southwestern A meeting between the two schools.
Sophomore hurler Andi Mavrinac earned the win, allowing three hits through four complete for the Copperheads (1-2, 1-0). Junior Kristy Hayden came on in the fifth in relief, allowing no hits with two strikeouts.
An outstanding effort by Jessica Kindzerski carried the Fergus Golden Eagles Varsity to a 13-2 win in six innings over Hardin on Thursday at Lewistown.
Jessica Kindzerski rocked Hardin with two home runs. Jessica Kindzerski went 3-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Jessica Kindzerski homered in the third and fifth innings.
