2013-14 Prep Girls Basketball Preview

Polson

Coach: Jay Krantz, 1st year

Jay Krantz takes over the reins Polson girls basketball program after serving as an assistant for a number of seasons.

Krantz’s inaugural squad will be athletic but inexperienced.

“I don’t know exactly what to expect,” he said. “We don’t have a lot of returning vets that have a lot of time last year.”

Jessica Bagnell is the Pirates’ only returning starter from a year ago. Bagnell was named honorable mention all-conference last season.

Other returners include seniors Jaylin Kenney, Monika Frame and Shelbi Mallon, along with juniors Peyton Anderson, Kaelen Wall, Dylan Quinn and Skyla Krantz.

“We’ve got a bunch of really good athletes that are so-so basketball players,” Jay Krantz said. “I’m going to try to get them into a position where their athletic ability shows through on the court.”
