At Butte, Payden Belcourt and Daniel Pendergast scored two goals apiece in the Yellowjackets’ nonconference win over Laurel.
Belcourt scored in the 16th minute on an assist by Pendergast and Pendergast made it 2-0 just before intermission.
Pendergast and Belcourt scored the first two goals of the second half, before Joseph Daniels scored the final goal in the 61st minute.
Daniel Bradt stopped two shots to earn the shutout in goal.
Stevensville, 2-0, hosts Frenchtown on Thursday.

Silas Hasselbrook scored a goal in the 76th minute to give Loyola Sacred Heart a draw with Frenchtown in a Southern A matchup.
Jacob and Tristan Baker scored first-half goals as the Broncs took an early 2-0 lead.
Jacob Larsen and Jacob Benson scored for Loyola to knot the match at 2-2 at halftime.
Loyola took a 3-2 lead on Jacob Byrne’s goal in the 45th minute. Frenchtown knotted things at 3-3 with Quinn Pruitt’s goal, then took the lead again on a tally by Tristan Baker in the 67th minute.
Hasselbrook’s goal evened Loyola’s record at 1-1-1. The Rams host Polson on Tuesday.

At Butte, the teams traded goals in the first 10 minutes, then went scoreless the rest of the way in the nonconference contest.
Brandon Peterson put Billings Central on the board in the third minute.
Cayden Ayers scored the equalizer in the 10th minute with an assist from Josh Venema.
Corvallis, 3-0-1, hosts Hamilton on Thursday.

At Polson, the Pirates lost their third straight game to open the Class A soccer season with a nonconference defeat at home against Livingston.
Polson had nine shots in the game, but only three of them were on the net and Livingston keeper Cyler Cain corralled all three for the shutout.
The visitors took the lead in the second minute on Daniel Newhouse’s goal, a score set up by Hayden Cody-Jense with the pass. Conner Amsk added another goal in the 51st minute to stretch the lead to two.

At Bigfork, the Vikings bounced back from a two-goal deficit to forge a tie in the Northern A match.
Libby took a 3-1 lead in the 62nd minute on Johnny Davidson’s second goal. Then the Loggers inadvertently started Bigfork’s comeback with an own goal in the 66th minute.
That set the stage for Tyler Zavala’s dramatic game-tying score for the Vikings in the 80th minute. Zavala finished with two goals on the day.
Keeper Dillon Hilling had seven saves for Bigfork (1-0-1 conference, 1-0-2 overall). Jacob Wood had four saves for the Loggers.

At Columbia Falls, the Wildcats traded blows with Belgrade until the 73rd minute when Quentin Foust scored his second goal of the game to put Columbia Falls ahead for good in a nonconference Class A match.
Both of Foust’s goals came on headers off corner kicks taken by Casey Burghduff, the first breaking a scoreless tie in the 13th minute.
Belgrade knotted the game behind Grant Jordan before a Caleb Baumann goal put Columbia Falls back ahead just before the half. Belgrade’s Chris Bratten also scored before Foust gave the Wildcats (1-2) their first win.

At Polson, the visiting Park Rangers netted a pair of goals and then successfully held at bay the Pirates to capture this nonconference showdown. Pirate Jonah Kasnitz and Mike Mercer launched a couple of shot attempts at the Park goal that were denied. Kasnitz just missed at the 71st minute when the Park keeper came out to challenge his shot. He was able to scootch the ball by the attempted block, but unfortunately it rolled wide of the goal.

Boys SOC: Central 1, Corvallis 1

BUTTE -- Both goals were scored in the game’s first seven minutes as Billings Central and Corvallis battled to a 1-1 tie in Class A boys soccer on Saturday.
Central’s Brandon Peterson scored in the third minute off an assist from Pat Comstock. Cameron Ayers of Corvallis answered in the seventh minute.
Rams goalie Joey Thompson had three saves. Central outshot Corvallis 19-10.
Central plays its first two home matches of the season this weekend, hosting Libby at 6 p.m. on Friday and Columbia Falls at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Both matches are at Rocky Mountain College.
