FLORENCE – The Bitterroot Bucs scored 10 runs in the first inning of both halves of a Class A American Legion doubleheader sweep of Kalispell on Saturday afternoon.
The Bucs won the opener 25-0 behind a no-hitter from Cody Rolshoven. Rolshoven walked six and struck out 13.
The Bucs scored their 25 runs on just nine hits as Kalispell’s pitchers issued 15 free passes. Tommy Shepard had a pair of singles and drove in three runs for the Bucs. Kadin Beller homered, scored three runs and drove in two. Dylan Reed, Sage Hansen, Chance Sage, Jake Finley, Kevin McGee and Patrick Pape all had two RBIs.
Shepard allowed just one hit in picking up the win in the nightcap, an 11-1 decision that also was limited to five innings via the 10-run margin rule.
Beller had three singles and drove in a pair, while Shepard and Austin Nogle had two RBIs apiece.

A Mavs, Twins split
At Whitefish, Austin Bohnsack pitched a three-hitter to lead the Class A Missoula Mavs to a 5-2 win over Glacier and a plit of their doubleheader.
The Twins won the first game 4-2.
Bohnsack allowed just three singles and three walks while striking out four.
Jakob Bierig doubled and drove in two runs for the Mavs. Kaaden Wilson added two hits and an RBI, while Aidan Collins also had a pair of singles.
A three-run fifth inning carried the Twins to the win in the opener.
Brandon Maassen had a double and drove in two runs. Jayce Fagerland and Colton Gove had two hits apiece.
Walker Kay had two hits and drove in a run for the Mavs.

Mariners 11, Laurel 10
At Helena, Jeremiah Crawford earned the winning decision for the Class A Mission Valley Mariners in their 11-10 victory over Laurel in eight innings at the Cloninger Classic.
Mission racked up 15 hits to Laurel’s seven.
Nick Crawford and TJ Olson led the Mariners with 3-for-4 performances at the plate while Brennan Andrews and Brad Pichler each went 2 for 5.
Quinn Harlen was 1 for 1 with a double for Mission.
Caje Golden led Laurel, going 2 for 5 with a pair of doubles.
