Flathead routs Whitefish

KALISPELL – Emma Andrews’ 13 points paced the Kalispell Flathead girls’ basketball team to a 48-12 rout of Class A Whitefish on Tuesday.

Andrews knocked down the game’s only 3-pointer while registering three assists and a block as the AA Bravettes improved to 8-7.

Flathead led 16-1 after the first and did not let up.

Jessika Abbrescia hit all four of her field goal attempts en route to a nine-point night for the Bravettes.

Simone Craft and Ashlee Brewer each had three points to lead the Bulldogs, who fell to 1-16 overall.

Lucas, Rams handle Lewistown

Junior guard Allie Lucas led four players in double figures with 23 points, and Billings Central defeated non-conference foe Lewistown 64-48 on Tuesday at the Nelles Activities Center.

Sammy Elliott scored 12 points while Justyn Juhl and Melissa Koerber each added 10 for the Rams (10-7). Juhl and Lucas both hit a pair of 3-pointers.

“I thought everybody contributed and played hard and with more confidence,” said Rams coach Jeff Malby. “We shot the ball pretty well, and defensively we created some issues for them. We competed hard.”

Mikala Olson led Lewistown (2-15) with 20 points. Olson made four 3-pointers.

Central hosts Billings West on Friday at 7:30 p.m. It is the Rams’ final game of the regular season.
