Bulldog girls roll in Anaconda

Updated: February 7, 2013

ANACONDA — Make it 10 in a row for the Butte High girls’ basketball team.

The No. 2 Bulldogs used their relentless full-court press to terrorize the Copperheads, and Butte High rolled to a 68-34 non-conference win over Anaconda at the Snake Pit.

Natalee Faupel reached double figures for the fifth straight game and 11th time in 16 games to lead the Bulldogs. The senior scored 21 points to lead three Bulldogs in double figures.

Hailey Hoagland and Sammy McGree both scored 14 points for the Bulldogs, who improved to 14-2 on the season. Butte High hasn’t lost since Jan. 3 at Great Falls High. The Bulldogs have since avenged that overtime loss to the Bison.

Butte High is off until next Friday and Saturday when the Bulldogs play host to Billings Skyview and Billings West in key Eastern AA games.
