CAT ALUM, AUSTIN BARTH, NAMED OFF. SCOUT PLAYER AT MSU

January 26, 2013
By Terry Werner of Northwest Montana A Conference

BARTH NAMED TOP OFFENSIVE SCOUT PLAYER AT MSU!

Barth played various positions on the scout team. Here's Kevin McGiven's take in our end of season interview:

BB: Austin Barth is a solid athlete and a big body. Is his future as a quarterback?

MCGIVEN: “We are looking at that. Dakota took most of the scout team snaps. Austin played more tight end and receiver and he actually did a really, really good job in that role for them.

“Some of the teams we played with bigger targets, he did a great job simulating that. He’s got some athleticism. We’ll have to look at that closer. He definitely has some tools. We don’t want to under utilize that and we don’t want to have a guy sitting there who could help us at a different spot.
