Tres Cunningham knocked down four 3-pointers en route to an 18-point night as Class AA Missoula Sentinel downed Class A Corvallis at the Spartans’ gym.

It marks the second win in 10 tries for Sentinel, which now sits at 2-8.

The Spartans’ Austin Violette added 13 points, nine of which came from the foul line.

Chase Walker led the Blue Devils (1-9) with 12 points and seven rebounds.

At Whitefish, Ryan Edwards scored 25 points, Bryan Michaels had 22 and Kalispell Glacier ran off with this non-league battle of ranked teams.

Logan Iverson scored nine of his 12 points in the first quarter as Glacier (9-1), ranked No. 1 in Class AA, took a 29-13 lead. Kyle Griffith added 10 points for the Wolfpack.

Cooper Olson hit six 3-pointers and scored 21 points for Whitefish (6-4), ranked No. 4 in Class A. The Bulldogs also had 16 points from Logan Harwood.

Helena High overcame a double-digit Butte Central lead tonight and beat Butte Central 53-49 in a non-conference boys’ basketball game at the Maroon Activities Center.

The Class A’s No. 5-ranked Maroons fell to 7-4 overall. Helena High improved to 5-3.

Brady Tippett scored 15 points to lead the Maroons in the loss. Marcus Ferrier tossed in 12.

Butte Central is back in action at 4 p.m. Saturday when the Maroons play host to Stevensville in a key Southwestern A game at the MAC.
