Prep boys’ basketball: Glacier thumps Columbia FallsCOLUMBIA FALLS – Ryan Edwards scored 15 points and Kyle Griffith added 13 to lead Kalispell Glacier to a 67-42 nonconference boys’ basketball win over Columbia Falls on Thursday. Edwards also came down with a game-high eight rebounds and blocked four shots as the Western AA Wolfpack (6-1) won the battle of No. 3-ranked teams. Reid Siderius rounded out the Glacier trio of double-figure scorers with 10 points. Jared Trinastich led the Northwestern A Wildcats (6-2) with 12 points and five rebounds. Luke Kazlauskas added 10 points for Columbia Falls. Glacier 15 17 17 18 – 67 C. Butte Central senior Brady Tippett scored seven of his game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter tonight as Butte Central beat Butte High 49-41 in the boys’ half of the city championship doubleheader. The win was the third straight for the Maroons against their cross-town rival. Kale Guldseth scored eight points, while Emmett McCarthy and Nate Bolstad scored seven in the win. Peter Granger and Dallas Cook each scored 10 points for Butte High. Cory Farstveet tossed in nine.
