HAMILTON – Danee Leary netted 17 points to lead undefeated Butte Central to a 62-40 win over Southwestern A girls' basketball foe and previously unbeaten Hamilton on Tuesday at the Broncs’ gym.
The Maroons (3-0, 5-0), coming off a rout of Anaconda on Saturday, jumped out to a 31-17 halftime lead behind Leary and Hannah Stajcar, who scored eight apiece in the first half.
Stajcar and Mariah Cooney each finished with 10 points.
Coming off a weekend in which she netted 27 and 30 points in two Hamilton wins, Broncs sophomore guard Taylor Goligoski scored 14 against on Tuesday.
Jaylee Albert added eight points for Hamilton, which dropped to 1-1 in conference play and 4-1 overall.

Senior girls defeat Billings Central
Marissa Van Atta scored 14 points and Billings Senior led from the opening tip to beat Billings Central 40-34 on Tuesday night in girls basketball at the Senior gym.
Sara Heard scored all five of her points in the first quarter as Senior (4-1) jumped out to a 13-2 lead and never trailed.
Jordyn Wagner added six points and Alli Kieckbusch also have five for the Lady Broncs, who made 12 of 22 shots in the first half (55 percent).
Justyn Juhl had 11 points and Erika Kuehn six to lead Central (2-3). Sammy Elliott had five points and 11 rebounds, and Allie Lucas contributed five points as well.

West girls edge Hardin, 54-53
HARDIN -- Junior point guard Mika Robinson made a free throw with three seconds left Tuesday night as Billings West rallied to beat Hardin 54-53 in girls basketball.
The Bears, who trailed by as many as 10 points, also received 17 points off the bench from junior Steph Boehm. One of her two threes tied the game heading into the final minute.
"They just kept fighting back," West coach Scott Nichols said of his Bears. "I'm proud of the poise they showed down the stretch."
Robinson finished with 11 points for the 3-2 Bears, who outscored the Bulldogs 16-11 in the final quarter.
Hardin, which fell to 4-1 overall, received 15 points -- all on 3-pointers -- from Chrissy Don't Mix. Teonna Little Light contributed 13 points.
West will be at home on Friday to play Billings Central at 5:45 p.m.
