Wildcat Football 2009 Press Release: October 26, 2009
Wildcat Football announces its Player's of the Week, for Week 9 of the 2009 season. These young men exemplified our commitment to quality and excellence both on and off the field.
Congratulations to the following Players who will be the recipients of a complementary meal from Tien's Oriental Dining located at 329 9th St W Columbia Falls, MT 892-1585. Thanks again to Tien for his tremendous support of Wildcat Athletics:
Offensive Player of the Game: John Woody: John rushed for 190yds on 32 carries to help the Cats pound the Rock while controlling both the time of possession and field position throughout the ball game against our arch-rival Whitefish in Friday night's game.
Defensive Players of the Game: Mike Macijunas: In Friday night's game against Whitefish Mike had as impressive a performance as we've seen from a defensive lineman in some time. Mike had several tackles for loss and forced which he recovered himself with the dogs deep in our territory coming at critical point in the game.
Special Teams Player of the Game: Kyle Howell: Kyle did a great job for the Cats at Punter this week with a 38yd average and handled to tough snaps on a rainy and cold night in Columbia Falls.
Scout Player of the Week: Taylor Martinson: Cody did a great job this week of simulating our opponent's offensive and defensive schemes on the Scout team Offense and Defense for last week's preparation for Whitefish especially while simulating the play of their best receiver. Truth be told, Taylor was better than the actual receiver we faced on Friday night. Week in and week out we are only as good as the people that we practice against and Cody gave us a great look this week on our Scout Teams. |
