Class A Polson 26, Ronan 7 At Polson, the fifth-ranked Pirates scored the final 20 points of the game and clinched the Northwestern A title with the league victory in the regular-season finale for both teams. Tim Rausch led a powerful Polson rushing attack that piled up 268 yards, running 24 times for 156 yards and a touchdown. Joe Andrews added TD runs of 80 and 23 yards in totalling 11 carries for 111 yards. Ty Fouty added a 35-yard fumble return for a TD. The Pirates, who earned a bye in the first round of the State A playoffs, improved to 4-0, 7-1 and will face the winner of next weekend's game between the second seed from the Central A and the third seed from the Eastern A. Xavier Morigeau led the Chiefs (2-2, 5-4), running 22 times for 76 yards, including a 6-yard TD run in the first quarter. Germany finished 20-for-33 for 310 yards through the air for the Loggers, who finished the season at 2-7. Germany also led Libby on the ground with 50 yards on 13 carries. TJ Benson caught seven passes for 144 yards and a TD for Libby, which spotted Lethbridge a 14-0 lead. Columbia Falls jumped to a 19-7 lead in the first half and Kaleb Johnson iced the win with two second-half scores. He struck paydirt on passes of 60 and 26 yards from quarterback Mitchell Wassam, who totaled 210 passing yards. The Wildcats (3-1 conference, 6-3 overall) clinched a No. 2 seed and will host a first-round playoff game on Oct. 31.
