At Polson, the visitng Broncs kept chipping away at the Polson end of the field, but it was the Pirates who scored first on a header by "Captain" Morgan Moll off a feed from James "The Lawman" Larson at the 17 minute mark. The Broncs would net the equalizer off a penalty kick a couple of minutes later. The game remained tied until the final minute when Tannar Crossman deftly maneuvered through the defense to put Hamilton ahead off an assist from Kyle Crossman. Bronc keeper Niall Gallagher Clancy kept his team in the hunt by preserving the tie on three occasions when he made what could be termed mega-saves. Twice he deflected bullets off the foot of Larson, the second coming off a penalty kick around the 52 minute mark. The third was another deflection of a Moll header at minute 64.

H - Tannar Crossman (a Hunter Schlender) 79:00
unofficial game rendition by John Heglie from the vantage point of the grandstands with input from fans in attendance on both sides. Some details may vary from official summary. The assist on the 2nd goal was officially credited to Schlender according to a Polson coaching staff inquiry at the Hamilton bench after the game. The K. Crossman credit was based on Hamilton fan input from the grandstands shortly after the goal. The superior vantage point would have been the Hamilton bench, so one is inclined to defer to their assessment of events. However, what may have been the case is that K Crossman was in the mix to such an extent that the N Crossman goal could have been credited with dual assist credits if one were so inclined. But officially the credit ihas been attributed to Schlender.
