STEVENSVILLE — Megan Danczyk scored three goals and assisted on another to guide Whitefish past Stevensville 5-0 on Saturday in the Class A soccer opener for both schools.

Danczyk scored 30 seconds into the match and followed with goals at 47 and 71 minutes.

 

She assisted on Jessica Baldonado’s goal at the 19-minute mark.

Anna Peterson accounted for the other goal.

Baldonado and Peterson also assisted on scores, as did Jessica Courtney and Piper Greenwood.

“It was a lot of fun,” Whitefish coach Wendy Farrens said.

“I was excited and very proud of the girls for coming out hard and being aggressive. They were putting things together that we’ve been working on in practice.”

Hamilton 4, Belgrade 3

At Hamilton, the Broncs scored in the 79th minute for the second straight day to pull out a nonconference win over Belgrade.

Bre Orr scored a pair of goals and Jill Toews had another to give the Broncs a 3-1 edge. But Belgrade (1-1) came back to tie the game at 3-3 in the 72nd minute.

With their forwards pressing, the Broncs’ Sami Kratofil came up with a loose ball and sent a cross to freshman Kendal Gordon, who one-timed the ball into the net for the game-winner.

Hamilton (2-0) plays Saturday at Whitefish.

At Billings, Allie Lucas had two goals and an assist for Billings Central as the Rams shut out Northern A Frenchtown.

Holly Davison and Mariah Whitman each collected a goal and an assist and Kaitlin Sullivan also scored for Billings Central (2-0-0).

Hadley Ryan and Lana Peterson each made one save in goal for the Rams.

Junior Keegan Wickman stopped 12 shots for the Broncs (2-0-0), who host Loyola next Saturday.

Lexie Lewis, Leslie Gappa and Jamie Barta scored two goals apiece for Laurel and Demi Albrecht scored once and assisted on three goals.

Katrina Baumgartner had four saves and Kayla Littlefield stopped two more for the Locomotives.

Brook Kolar tallied for the Breakers.

At Stevensville, Northern A Whitefish received a hat trick and an assist from Megan Danczyk powered past Southern A Stevensville in the season opener for both schools.

Jessica Baldonado and Anna Peterson each contributed a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs and keeper Piper Greenwood added five saves and an assist.

Evie Titlaty made 14 saves for the Yellowjackets.

At Corvallis, the Blue Devils trailed by just a goal at halftime before the Rangers scored twice in the first six minutes of the second half to pull away in the nonconference match.

Ayden Eickhoff scored the only goal for Corvallis (0-2) on a feed from Erika Allen in the 53rd minute. It marked Eickhoff’s second goal of the season.

Blue Devils keeper Roxie Rademacher had eight saves.
