Mission Valley stays alive at Legion regional

 

BURLEY, Idaho – The Mission Valley Mariners stayed alive at the Class A Northwest Regional American Legion baseball tournament with an 11-5 win over Wheatland, Wyo., on Sunday afternoon.

Jacob Young went 3 for 5 and Dalton Molzhon pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and four walks while striking out three.

The Mariners took advantage of nine Wheatland errors, including four in a five-run sixth inning.

Mission Valley will play another elimination game Monday at 6 p.m. against Burley, the only team that hasn’t lost a game in the tournament.
