BURLEY, Idaho – Boise’s Rocky Mountain scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to take a 3-2 win from Mission Valley at the Class A Northwest Regional American Legion baseball tournament on Saturday.

The Mariners led 2-0 after plating single runs in the second and third innings.

Matt Roll, Ben Weber and Brandon Job each crossed the plate in the seventh inning, and that was enough for the Rocky Mountain Avalanche.

Roll pitched a complete game, striking out five for Rocky Mountain. Mission Valley dropped into the losers’ bracket and faces Wheatland, Wyo., on Sunday at noon.

M. Valley 011 000 000 – 2 7 3

R. Mountain 000 000 30x – 3 3 2

LEADING HITTERS – Mission Valley: Webster-Yaqui 1-3 (2B). Rocky Mountain: Weindel 1-4 (RBI), Job 1-3 (R, BB).

PITCHERS – Mission Valley: Crawford (L) 9 IP. Rocky Mountain: Roll (W) 9 IP.
