RE: Laurel Invitational Softball Tournament Friday & Saturday, May 18 & 19, 2012
Laurel High School is hosting an invitational softball tournament on Friday & Saturday, May 18 & 19, 2012. The tournament site is at the softball complex located at Wood’s Power Grip on the west end of Main Street in Laurel.
There will be an entry fee of $150.00 per school (plus the bringing of 2 softballs) to help pay for the umpires and softball expenses. Please send a check or bring it with you to the tournament. PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL BE CHARGING ADMISSION FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. THE CHARGE WILL BE: $5.00 FOR ADULTS AND $3.00 FOR STUDENTS FOR EACH DAY. PLEASE LET PARENTS KNOW!
All games will have a 1 ½ hour time limit except those games that are conference games. The conference games are marked with an **. Each team will be allowed to take infield only once during the first game each day.
I would ask that for varsity games only, the designated home team please report your score to the concessions stand so that we can get the scores in the paper. If we do not receive the scores, they will not get printed in the paper. Your cooperation with this would be appreciated.
We will also have a meeting for all the Eastern Class A schools on Friday evening in Laurel High School starting at 7:30 p.m. to select All-Conference and All-State selections.
Bus parking will be behind the Wood’s Power Grip Building.
