WHITEFISH FALL SPORTS STARTUP DATES

Whitefish High School

2009Activities Startup Dates and Information

 

Football           Practice begins Friday, August 14th at 9:00 am.  Students are to pick up equipment on Wednesday, August 12th at 6:00 pm at Whitefish High School Wrestling Room. Athletes will need cleats, running shoes and athletic clothes. Coach Dryden - 862-8769


Freshman

Football           Practice and equipment check out will be on Monday, August 17th at 9:30 am.  All freshmen should meet at Whitefish High School in the wrestling room where equipment will be handed out and they will need to have cleats, tee shirt and shorts. Coach Watson - 212-8022


Cheerleading  Students who are interested in trying out are to report to Muldown Elementary Gym on Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am.  Wear tee shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Coach Fleming - 885-7749


Volleyball       Students are to pick up equipment and locker assignments on Friday, August 14th at 6:00 pm.  Meet in the girls' locker room.   Tryouts begin Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am in the Whitefish High School gym.  All participants should bring volleyball shoes, shorts, tee shirt, knee pads and water bottle.  Coach Fuller - 249-0052


Golf                 Practice begins Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am.  Report to the Whitefish Lake Golf Course.  New players are welcome and no experience necessary.  Practice time will be announced daily by Coach Nelson. Coach Nelson - 253-9154


Girls

Soccer             Tryouts begin Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am.  All players need to report to Smith Fields.  Each participant needs to bring a water bottle, soccer ball, running shoes, soccer cleats, and shin guards. Coach Morrison - 435-659-8529


Boys

Soccer             Tryouts begin Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am.  All players need to report to Smith Fields.  Each participant needs to bring a water bottle, soccer ball, running shoes, soccer cleats, and shin guards. Coach Bryd - 249-0552


Cross

Country           Practice begins Monday, August 17th at 8:00 am.  All participants need to meet at Whitefish High School.  Meet near the entrances to the locker rooms.  Be dressed in running attire. Coach Brist - 755-6991


All individuals wanting to participate in a Fall Activity at Whitefish High School will need to have a current physical, a signed Whitefish High School activities release form before participating in an activity.  These forms can be turned early to your coaches or brought with you on the first day of practice. The forms can be picked up at the Whitefish School District Office located at 600 East Second Street.

All parents must attend the mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 at 6:30 pm in the Whitefish High School gym.  This meeting is for all parents whose students are going to be involved in any type of extra-curricular activity from sports, music, speech/debate, and drama. If you attended the meeting in May 2009 you do not need to attend this meeting in August.
