Northwest Routs Arkansas Baptist, 107-82

SENATOBIA – Northwest tied a season-high with 11 3-pointers and shot a season-best 54 percent from the floor as they ran away with a 107-82 win over Arkansas Baptist Monday night at Howard Coliseum.
The 25-point win was the largest for Northwest since Feb. 12, 2007 at Northeast, a 100-70 victory.
Northwest improved to 15-4 overall while Arkansas Baptist dropped to 8-17.
ABC scored the game's first two points off a Joshua Tarver layup but would trail the rest of the night.
Northwest couldn't miss in the first half and began to pull away after hitting 15 of its first 19 shots. Charles Eaton scored 12 of his game-high 23 points in the period and helped the Rangers to a 58-36 halftime lead.
Northwest shot 60 percent in the first half against 39 percent shooting for ABC.
After a layup from DeMarcus McVay, seven straight points from Kenyatta Jones to open the second half pushed the Ranger lead out to 31 points with 16:28 to play.
Northwest then emptied its bench as all 12 players dressed saw action and would help to combine for 68 of the team's 107 points on the night and a season-high 28 assists.
Behind Eaton's 23 points in 17 minutes on 10-of-11 shooting, Domonique Harris added 20, K. Jones added 14 and D.J. Biggs chipped in 11. Rashon Coleman dished out a career-high eight assists to go along with nine points and four steals.
ABC had five scorers in double figures on the night, led by Tarver and Keelon Milton with 14 apiece.
Northwest will hit the road Thursday, traveling to Mississippi Delta (7-11, 4-5) for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
