Rangers Unveil New Football Uniforms

July 19, 2012
By Kevin Maloney of NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE

SENATOBIA – Northwest will have a new-look football uniform for the 2012 season.

Fifth-year head coach Ricky Woods, who's gone 27-11 at Northwest, will be bringing back the red jerseys for the first time since the 2007 season, with a little bit of a color change and new logo style on the front.

The addition of the red uniforms now gives Northwest a total of five different uniform combinations to alternate home and away, keeping fans on their toes as to which game they'll first see the new tops.

"We don't have a set uniform combination we wear at home or on the road," Woods said. "We typically like to go blue on blue at home, but we may break out the red tops one home game."

Sophomore defensive lineman turned offensive lineman, Cor'tez Hibbler, modeled the new uniform on Tuesday during a photo shoot for an advertisement in the newest edition of Mississippi Gridiron Magazine.

Northwest will kickoff the 2012 season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Southwest.
