North Scott vs. Maquoketa in Toys for Tots game

The North Scott Press is reporting that the North Scott boys' basketball team will tip off its season this Saturday in the Pit against Maquoketa in the Hall of Pride Scrimmage.

The Lancers and Cardinals -- who are meeting for the first time since 2004 -- are participating in this contest, where proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots. So be sure to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game, and all proceeds will go toward the less fortunate.

Game time for the varsity game is 6 p.m.; the freshman (3 p.m.) and sophomores (4:30 p.m.) will proceed the main contest.
