Lady Vikings fall to Lady Blue Devils

First time in 26 years since the North Volleyball team went to state. North Wilkes claimed the last wild card in the 2A!! North had to travel to Maiden High School to take on the Lady Blue Devils with record 15-5.
After we got there few minutes late cause of few wrong turns, North Wilkes open the playoffs with a close 25-23 win in first set. Maiden came back strong to take care of set two by winning it 14-25.
Lady Vikings came up short in a 21-25 in set three loss. North Wilkes was down 2 games to 1 going into the fourth set.
Fourth set was like the first one, North Wilkes lead and then Maiden stormed back to take it 22-25 with a 3 games to 1 against visitors of North Wilkes.
Maiden record is now 16-5 going into Tuesday's match. North Wilkes record come to a close at 7-13!!
North Wilkes volleyball team would like to thank all the fans that made the trip to Maiden, North had bigger crowd then the home team. Also, the team would like to say a BIG thanks to the bus driver that took them to and from games.
