By Nathan Miller of North Wilkes High SchoolLady Vikings are the 2012-13 Conference & Conference Tournament Champions!! North Wilkes defeated West Wilkes in the championship game last night at East Wilkes 57-45.
North Wilkes started out fast with a lay-up within 7 seconds in the game. The lead exchanged but the Blackhawks take the 1st quarter 9-8. Second quarter, the same way but the Lady Vikings build a 26-20 lead at half-time. Third quarter, Vikings started off where they left with a fast start and build a 40-31 lead going into last quarter. Last act, Vikings poured in 17 points to win the 2012-13 Conference Tournament Title since 1996.
Vikings will be back on home court with a first round state play-offs starting at 6pm and also a double-header. Will post who they play went the brackets come out.
