Question: Your team had lots of momentum coming out of spring practice, has that fire carried over into fall camp?

Westfield coach Corby Meekins:
“Our guys had a great summer and we are in pretty good shape. I’ve been pleased with the retention from spring ball. We are getting after it right now.”

Question: Westfield had a good season in 2011, what are the expectations for this upcoming season?

Meekins:
“We have had a goal every year and we haven’t achieved it yet. But the only way you get there is to focus on your short-term goals. Right now, we are grinding though the dog days. We win today. And we will wake up tomorrow and work to win that day. We put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward and getting better.
