VYPE Recruit Scoop: Colorado Picks Up Pair of Teammates

June 11, 2012
By Matt Malatesta of VYPE MAGAZINE - North Houston

The University of Colorado hit the Daily Double as a pair of Texas offensive linemen committed to the Buffalo program.

The Woodlands' Sam Kronshage and Jonathan Huckins both verbally committed to Colorado Monday after recently visiting the campus.

"Once you get up there and see the new attitude of winning with the coaches and the environment, it's hard to pass up," the 6-foot-6 Kronshage said. "We toured the facilities, met with the coaches and saw their vision as to where the program is going. It's very exciting.

"They are building a new football weight room and adding 10,000 more seat to the stadium," he said. "They are bringing the tradition back. We weren't expecting to commit together but it's a bonus."

The pair committed 20 minutes apart Monday and Huckins will be projected as an inside lineman with good feet and a 6-foot-4 frame.

"I was impressed with how they run their program, the coaches and the environment," Huckins said. "It's the total package with the academics as well. I'm happy the process is over and look forward to what the future has to offer."
