Home » Football NewsVype Recruit Scoop -- The Nest is Full at Cy FallsMay 17, 2012 By Matt Malatesta of VYPE MAGAZINE - North HoustonCypress Falls High School hosted over two dozen Division I college recruiters for their spring game this week and Kirk Eaton's squad seems loaded entering the fall.
Headlining the program's top recruits is Jacorey Warick, who has verbally committed to the University of Texas. But it's a sophomore who stole the show. Otaro Alaka, a rangy linebacker, could be one of the most coveted recruits in school history.
"Otaro completely dominated the entire spring," Eaton said. "His size, speed and physical nature makes him a special player."
So much so that Arkansas and Oklahoma State have verbally offered the sophomore. His brother Temi, who will be a senior, missed much of spring due to a high ankle sprain. The older Alaka has offers from Louisiana-Lafayette, Air Force and Southeast Louisiana as a receiver.
Also being recruited in the Cy Falls class of 2013 is Jacobi Hunter, a defensive tackle who has offers from Baylor and Southeast Louisiana. TCU and Kansas are closing in on offering. Running back Bryce Peters is receiving significant interest from TCU, Kansas and McNeese State.
