Klein Oak Struts Their Stuff in National Event

The Klein Oak Strutters Drill Team won their first MA National Championship in 16 years in Fort Worth in March. They competed against 25 other teams for this title, which culminated a season which started last May.

 

The Strutters are put through the rigors or training and practicing during the summer, preparing for the school year and football half-time shows and pep rallies. After the football season ends, they Strutters jumped right into the contest season as a competitive dance team.

 

The girls are held to a strict code of conduct and must dress and behave in a manner that is representative of their team. Each team member is also to complete 60 hours of community service each year.
