Varsity VB Team Wins Sectional Opener

By Tony Uggen of Northfield High SchoolThe varsity volleyball team improved to 25-8 with a 25-10, 22-25, 25-7, 25-15 win over Wabash in their Southwood Sectional opener.
Bayli Birk set up 29 assists last night and tallied 3 aces and 10 digs. Kylie Echard led the offensive attack with 20 kills while Elaina Terrell tallied 9 kills and Cherish Leming added 7 kills. Gentry Kline picked up the defense with 26 digs and 8 receptions.
The Norse play Southwood on Saturday at 12:30pm and, should they win, will play in the championship at 7pm.
