Varsity Falls to Manchester

By Northfield Athletics of Northfield High SchoolThe Northfield softball team was defeated by Manchester Thursday by a score of 9-8. Katelyn Shafer took the loss, pitching 6 innings, giving up 4 earned runs, striking out 3 and walking 2. Kayla Unger, Jessika Beeks, and Arie Kennedy each had 2 hits. Our record now is 10-9 overall, and 2-3 in conference play. Next game is Saturday in the Queen of Diamonds tournament at Laville.
