Northfield Rises to the Occasion

The 8th grade girls basketball team beat Southwood last night 42-14 to improve to their record to 6-9 heading into the RRC Tournament. Payton Thomson and Abby Keaffaber each scored 12 to pace the Lady Norse.  Breanna Burcroff grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds, while Paige Holley scored 6 with 4 rebounds.  Also contributing were Sarah Driscoll with 4 boards and 2 steals, and Cassie Hunt with 2 points and 2 steals.

The 7th grade team lost to Southwood 38-16. The leading scorers for tonight’s game were Jacklyn Peas and Jordan Keaffaber with 6 points each. Kandra Stout and Ashlie Koch each had 2 points. Koch lead the Norse in rebounds with 5 total rebounds. Peas and Keaffaber also had 3 steals each.
