With their Thursday win, they have won their third straight outright NIC crown and fourth in a row. Penn has won ten NIC titles overall, either outright or shared, in school history. Mishawaka leads with 26 NIC titles overall since volleyball began as girls' sport in the early 1970's.

Saturday, Oct 8 Results:

At LaPorte Invitational:

Marian went 3-1, losing to Elkhart Memorial for the championhip. They defeated FW Carroll, Crown Point and LaPorte earlier in the day. Marian is now 26-6 overall. Mishawaka lost two matches to LaPorte and McCutcheon. Mishawaka enters Sectional week with a 8-19 record.

At St. Charles East Muzuno Scholastic Cup in Aurora, IL:

Elkhart Central won 2 matches and lost 3 in the tournament to run their record to 21-10.

IHSAA Volleyball State Tourney Pairings

The IHSAA Volleyball State Tournament drawing will be conducted on Monday, Oct.10 and posted on the iHSAA website Monday evening.
