Two NIC schools win Regional games to advance to the Semi-State next Friday.

IHSAA Football Regional Match-ups for NIC schools

Friday, Nov 9

Class 4A Regional

Hammond Morton at Mishawaka

Hammond Morton (7-5) travels to Mishawaka's historic Steele Stadium to face the Cavemen coming off a 36-34 overtime win at School Field against SB Washington for the sectional crown. Mishawaka stands at 9-3 on the season while Morton returns to the Regional when they lost to SB Washington a year ago, 33-20.

FINAL SCORE: Mishawaka 39-7 over Hammond Morton

Mishawaka (10-3)  will play at Concord (11-2), who defeated FW Dwenger, 35-21 to advance to next Friday night for the Class 4A Northern Semi-State championship game.


Class 3A Regional

Heritage at Marian

Heritage, now 10-2 on the season, is coming in off a 40-29 upset of undefeated Jimtown last week for the sectional title, while the Marian Knights reversed an earlier NIC loss to their rival St. Joseph when they turned the table on the Indians, 21-7 to earn the sectional crown. Marian is  now 9-3 on the season heading into the Regional.

FINAL SCORE: Mishawaka Marian 42-20 over Heritage

Marian, now 10-3 advances to the Class 3A Northern Semi-State game as they will travel to Hamilton Heights HS  in Arcadia, IN (Hamilton County, north of Indianapolis). Hamilton Heights defeated Eastbrook, 19-14 for the Regional title and improved their record to 12-1.
