NIC dominates IHSAA X-Country Sectional in South Bend

Girls' Results - Team scores

1 - Penn -  42 points with 2nd-Maddie Woods, 4th-Lauren Pottschmidt & 5th place-Jennifer Priebe, 14th-Allyssa Marlow

2 - Mishawaka - 45 points - Anna Rohrer finished 1st with a 17:33.15 time, 8th-Jessica Duvall, 11th-Camilla Holt, 13th-Holly Wolfe

3 - St. Joseph - 104 points - 12th-Molly Clark

4 - SB Riley - 109 points - 9th-Jackie Logsdon

5 - SB  Adams - 115 points with 6th-Michaela Lewis,

Top 5 teams advance to Elkhart Regional on Saturday, Oct 13 at Oxbow County Park along with the top 15 individuals, if their team did not advance.

6 - Marian - 119 points

7 - Bremen - 154 points

John Glenn - no team score, incomplete team

SB Clay - no team score, incomplete team

SB Washington - no team score, incomplete team

LaVille - no team score, incomplete team

SB Clay's Amanda Farrough finished 3rd overall while teammate Toria Sullivan finished 10th overall, and Marian's Megan Duvall finished 15th to advance as individuals to the Regional on Saturday from the NIC schools.

Boys' Results - Team scores

1 - Mishawaka - 64 points with three in top 10 with 2nd-Jordan Annis, 3rd-Austin Ganger and 9th-Patrick Wagner

2 - SB Riley - 79 points - Top finish with 7th-Bruce Bragg, 11th-Travis Kulczar

3 - Penn - 84 points - Top finish was 8th-Thomas Gales, with 12th-Kyle Irvin, 15th-William Holbert

4 - St. Joseph - 101 - Top finish was 4th-Dylan Dominello

5 - SB Adams - 120 - Top finishers were 5th-Jacob Timmons & 6th-Andrew Timmons

Top 5 teams advance to Elkhart Regional on Saturday, Oct 13 at Oxbow County Park along with the top 15 individuals, if their team did not advance.

7 - Johh Glenn - 166

9 - SB Washington - 216

10 - SB Clay - 269

John Glenn's Luke Runyan was the winner of the boys race in a time of 16:17.34 and advances as an individual to the Regional along with SB Washington's Andres Herbert who finished 10th overall. Marian's duo of Christopher Meyer and Adam Duvall finished 13th & 14th overall to advance to the Regional on Saturday.

 

Elkhart Sectional at Oxbow Park

Boys' Results - Team scores

Elkhart Central finished 4th with 117 points to qualify for the Elkhart Regional on Saturday. Northridge won the team title with 30 points over 2nd place Goshen with 52. Wawasee finished 3rd with 93. Concord got the 5th place spot to advance to the regional.

Girls' Results - Team scores

Northridge made a Raider sweep with a 1st place finish with 24 points, with Elkhart Memorial, Goshen, Wawasee and Concord completing the top five in scoring. Elkhart Central finished 10th.

 

IHSAA Cross-Country Regional

at Elkhart County's Oxbow Park off US 33 between Elkhart and Goshen

on Saturday, Oct 13

The top 5 teams from South Bend Riley and Elkhart Central Sectionals plus any individuals from schools not advancing who finished in the top 15.

Boys' Teams - Mishawaka, SB Riley, Penn, St. Joseph, SB Adams from South Bend

Boys' Teams - Northridge, Goshen, Wawasee, Elkhart Central, Concord from Elkhart

Girls' Teams - Penn, Mishawaka, St. Joseph, SB Riley, SB Adams from South Bend

Girls' Teams - Northridge, Elkhart Memorial, Goshen, Wawasee, Concord from Elkhart

The top five teams in each race advance to the New Haven (Fort Wayne) Semi-State next Saturday, Oct 20 and any top 15 runner who team does not advance.
