NIC Boys' & Girls' Cross-County

NIC Cross-Country Meet will be contested at Oxbow County Park in Elkhart County on Saturday, Sep 29. The NIC team champion for each race will be determined along with the All-NIC team selections being based on the top 21 finishers. Top seven will earn 1st Team honors with 8th through 14th taking 2nd Team honors with 15th through 21st taking Honorable Mention.

Penn is the defending girls' team champion, winning last year with 22 points with Maddie Woods capturing 1st place and NIC MVP honors. 18 of the top 21 NIC runners from last year will be competing this year as there were only three seniors finishing in the top 21 spots a year ago.

Mishawaka is the defending boys' team champion from last year when they edged St. Joseph, 29 to 30 to win the title. Last year 13 of the top 21 spots were capured by senior runners. Jordan Annis of Mishawaka is the lone returning All-NIC 1st team runner.

Elkhart Central is the host NIC school at the meet at Oxbow County Park. The Norhern Lakes Conference also runs their conference meet on Saturday at Oxbow.
